A Norfolk fire station is set to host a first responders group on its site after a planning application was approved.
Plans were given the green light for the fire station on Loddon's High Street to become a mixed-use site with a portable building to house a First Responders Group.
The group is affiliated with the East Anglian Ambulance Service, which Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service already works closely with.
Plans for the portable building and the change of use of the site are just on a temporary basis of five years while a permanent location is sought, according to documents.

Documents state that the structure is to be painted green and positioned at the back of the site to "minimise" the visual impact from the High Street.
Loddon Town Council had no objection to the application - but two members of the public lodged objections to the plans.
The reasons for objecting were concerns about the impact of the conservation area, "lack of detail" on the use of the new building and questions marks as to why the development is situated at Loddon Fire Station.
The application, submitted by the lead director for infrastructure, was approved by Norfolk County Council at a meeting last week.

In 2021 an application was approved to replace the existing hose drying tower with a taller fire training tower facility.
While in 2003 plans were approved to build a female toilet and shower facility and a disabled toilet on the site.
A date for when the cabin will be placed on the site and when the First Responders Group will begin working there has not been announced.
