A lifeboat was called into action after a museum set off a flare.
The Sheringham inshore lifeboat launched just before midday on Sunday after the RNLI crew saw a red flare off the coast at Weybourne.
After discussions with the Humber Coastguard, a crew of four - Paul Pretty, David Hagan, Andy Trend and Graham Carrol - set off in 'The Oddfellows' lifeboat to investigate.

However, after arriving on the scene the local coastguard team realised that the
Muckleburgh Military Museum had set off the flare as part of a reenactment.
The lifeboat was stood down and returned to the station 10 minutes later.
The Muckleburgh Military Collection, located four miles from Sheringham, is a privately owned military museum where visitors can view tanks, weapons, artillery and uniforms used by Allied forces during the Second World War.
