Norwich-based Hooma Comedy is bringing nearly two weeks of stand-up to the city.

The Normal for Norfolk festival will feature performances from stars of Live at the Apollo and Comedy Central including Terry Alderton, Sam See and Father Ted's Joe Rooney.

Martin Westgate, who runs Hooma Comedy, said: "There's been a growing comedy scene in Norwich for a few years now, with live comedy every week on Wednesday, Thursdays and Fridays.

"So now felt like a great time to bring some of the UK's best comic talent here and I'm very excited to bring them to my hometown.

"We're bringing a mix of local talent, who have recently graduated from Hooma’s own comedy course, along with some of the biggest names on the stand-up circuit and we’re making all the shows affordable so everyone can enjoy them."

The July 15 launch show at the Bowling House in Dereham Road will be free, with multiple shows at other venues around the city until July 27.
