A major arts venue was one of the businesses impacted by flash flooding in Diss, with the clean-up operation now under way.

At around 2pm on Tuesday, there was a heavy downpour in areas of south Norfolk with homes and businesses affected.

One of these was The Corn Hall in St Nicholas Street, Diss, but luckily it has not impacted the main auditorium and its programme.

"Unfortunately, this means that there will be no access to the works in the current exhibition for the time being.

"We would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused to our visitors and to say a huge thank you to our brilliant volunteers and team who worked quickly, tirelessly and effectively to clear the waters and mop up as best they could."

The theatre is open as usual but box office hours may be reduced.
