There will be a heightened police presence in a Suffolk town following an incident that saw an armed response unit called to a residential street.
A spokesman for Suffolk Constabulary said that locals would continue to see additional officers in the area after reassurance patrols were put in place following the incident in Rigbourne Hill in Beccles.
Officers were called to the street just before 1pm on Tuesday after reports of suspicious activity.

Police received a further call 20 minutes later alerting them to a burglary in progress on the same street, in which a firearm had allegedly been stolen.
An eyewitness said he "never seen anything like it" after "eight or nine" police cars descended on the street which reportedly saw the road closed and children kept behind at school.
Officers located two air rifles and will continue to investigate and remain in the area.
No arrests have currently been made.
