The boss of an independent deli in the Norwich Lanes believes moving with the times has been key to its continued success.
Fabrizio Fiaschi took over Amaretto, in St Georges Street, 16 years ago this month.
The deli has managed to stand the test of time in what has been an ever-changing and turbulent economic climate over the years.
Mr Fiaschi said: "We’ve had to adapt over the years, bringing in hampers, buffets, online food deliveries, fresh coffee, more salads and more vegan and vegetarian food.

"We are in a great position, with lots of people around and Norwich University of the Arts - bringing in student discounts has gone down particularly well.
"The fact that we make our food fresh throughout the day means we are adaptable, and we focus on simple, good food that uses high-quality ingredients.

"Things are very busy and it can be hard to keep up sometimes but that is a good problem to have!"
Katy Carr, Fabrizio's wife and marketer for the deli, added: "He loves all the bars and the people who work nearby, from families to students and he has regulars who he will ask for feedback - we have definitely had to adapt with the times.
"But our core ethos remains the same: keep the quality up and keep growing, while keeping prices as low as we can."
