King Charles III is hiring a carpenter to work at his Norfolk estate.

They will help to look after Sandringham House, the monarch's country retreat near King's Lynn.

The job advert on the estate's website says: "We are looking for someone with a demonstrable ability and experience in carpentry and joinery.

"The successful candidate will be professional and as part of the wider team, strive to maintain this historic and valued residence for current and future generations of the monarchy."

It adds they would need to be able to produce bespoke joinery items, like windows, doors and stairs.

They must also have "good all-round knowledge" in using different timbers.

And they'll have plenty of wood to work with, for the estate has extensive forestry as well as its own sawmill.

No details of salary are provided. But the estate adds: "A generous package is offered, including competitive salary and pension."
