A man has been stabbed in the head during an incident in Great Yarmouth.

The victim was approached by a man and a woman who stole cash from him in Hall Plain between 2pm and 2.20pm on Monday.

When the victim challenged the pair, he was stabbed in the head by the man.

Paramedics attended to the victim and he did not require further treatment.

A man in his 40s was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm, theft and possession of an offensive weapon and a woman in her 30s was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and theft.

They were taken to Great Yarmouth Police Station for questioning and have both been released on bail until July 9.
