There are a number of important public information notices for communities in Norfolk to be aware of this week. 

1. Seven weeks of pavement resurfacing in Cliff Terrace, Hunstanton

Major resurfacing works are set to take place for seven weeks from May 1 and are expected to take seven weeks to complete.

Cliff Terrace, from the junction of Northgate to the junction of Cliff Parade, will be restricted to a one-way system to allow access for the duration of the works.

The one-way system will allow vehicles to access Cliff Terrace from East to West.

Access to properties, for both pedestrians and vehicles, will be maintained however there may be some short delays to vehicular access.

2. Broads Authority Local Plan for the Broads

The Broads Authority are running drop-in sessions for the local community to discuss the preferred options for the Broads.

There will be some new policies, as well as amendments to the currently adopted local plan.

There will also be call for sites for gypsy and traveller sites, residential moorings and residential dwellings.

The drop in events are as follows:

April 30 from 4pm to 8pm at Filby Village Hall 

May 8 from 5:30pm to 9pm at Beccles Blyburgate Hall

3. Park Cafe applies for alcohol license 

Churros and Chorizo has applied to Broadland District Council for a Premises Licence for the Little Park Cafe, St George Morse Park, Norwich, NR7 0XQ.

Any person wishing to object to the grant of the licence should write to the Licensing Team, Broadland District Council, Horizon Centre, Broadland Business Park, Norwich, NR7 0WF by the 8th May, 2024.

4. Claims to the estate of Patricia Ellen Frosdick

Anyone having a claim against or an interest in the estate of Ellen Frosdick of 2 Barnes Close in Norwich, who died on March 8, is asked to send a written notice to the address below on or before June 11.

After this date, the estate will be distributed as per the notices received.

5. A47 westbound exit slip road to close at A1042 Postwick Interchange for approximately 2 weeks

The A47 westbound exit slip road at A1042 Postwick Interchange is set to close between the hours of 8.00pm and 6.00am, Monday to Friday from April 29.

This is to enable nearby third-party cabling works and general routine maintenance to be carried out safely.

The works are expected to take place over approximately two weeks (Mon-Fri, 8pm-6am), starting on, or after Monday 29 April 2024.
