A primary school serving one of Norfolk's newest housing estates has received glowing praise in its first Ofsted inspection.

White House Farm Primary School welcomed its first pupils in September 2019, having been opened to serve the new estate by the same name.

Now, in its first assessment since opening, inspectors have said its youngest children are receiving outstanding support.

The school was rated as good overall by the education watchdog, with its early years provision rated as outstanding.

The report reads: "Pupils behave well. They are polite, friendly and kind towards others.

"Pupils develop an understanding of what it means to belong in the community - they know the difference they can make by helping people in a variety of ways."

Lisa Cannell, the school's headteacher, said: "We are very proud of our excellent first ever Ofsted.

"White House Farm is the school of choice for our newly formed community and we look forward to continuing to thrive in the months ahead."

Jonathan Taylor, chief executive of Sapientia Education Trust, which runs the school, added: "This is a terrific first Ofsted report for a school that is truly inspiring."
