Plans to redevelop an eyesore demolition site have been given the go-ahead.

West Norfolk Council has agreed proposals for a pair of two-storey, three-bed homes on the site of a former tool shop on London Road, in King's Lynn.

Agent Reuben Cunningham said in a planning statement: "This application seeks to dramatically improve the site by building a high quality development that is more in character with the area and ensure that this prominent site is enhanced."

A council conservation officer said the scheme would be "an enhancement to the character of the area through development of an unused and derelict site".

The new homes will have traditional, Georgian style sliding sash windows to match the character of the area, while bricks will match those of the demolished building.
