A city venue is set to unveil its new karaoke room this weekend.

Propaganda hosts indie and alternative club nights at the Waterfront every Friday night - but things will look a little different from this week with the upstairs cocktail bar being turned into a karaoke room.

Each Friday, hosts Leyton Stoner and Nia Death Experience will take to the stage and keep the singalong going into the early hours.

A spokesman for Propaganda said: "Get ready to unleash your inner rockstar and sing your heart out in our brand new karaoke room this Friday upstairs in the cocktail bar.

"With a wide selection of tunes spanning every genre imaginable, there's something for everyone to enjoy.

"Get ready to hit all the right notes and a few wrong ones too – after all, it's not just about singing well, it's about having fun."

Propaganda was launched by DJ Dan when he was a university student in Bristol at the age of 20.

The firm's site says it has since grown into the UK's biggest club night which sees 25,000 people attend its events across the globe each week.

Before its closure, Propaganda also hosted events at the Time nightclub on the city's Riverside complex.

Propaganda events at The Waterfront run from 10.30pm until 3am and tickets are available on Fatsoma or on the door from £4.
