A fast-growing city festival is returning for its second year and expanding into a Norwich landmark.

The Norwich Games Convention was a huge success when it launched at The Halls last summer, with around 1,300 people attending.

With their original venue now shut until spring 2025 for a £3.6m revamp, organisers Stacey Sanderson and John Anthony are holding the 2024 event at multiple venues instead.

It will take place from 9am on Saturday, August 24 at Norwich University of the Arts, The Oak Circus Centre and, just announced, Norwich Castle.

It will feature board games, tabletop role-playing games, a bring-and-buy sale, a trade hall, live events, local food and drink and much more.

The Norwich Castle activities will run from 6pm to 10pm in the rotunda and lecture theatre, which are not impacted by the ongoing revamp.

Miss Sanderson said: "Last year the response blew us away.

"It is very exciting to have Norwich Castle as it is the perfect setting to play tabletop games."
