Police confirmed today that the body of a missing 24-year-old man was found in woodland near his Norwich home.

The body of Mitch Thornton was found by the Lowland Search and Rescue team on Saturday, off Dodderman Way in Bowthorpe.

The death is not believed to be suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.

Mr Thornton, from Thurlby Road in Bowthorpe, had not been heard from since sending a text message to his mum Maxine Frost on Tuesday.
