A new family-friendly festival celebrating all things Norfolk is launching near King’s Lynn. 

The Spring Rising Day Festival organised by Tribe Norfolk will be a "celebration of Norfolk and what it has to offer" set in the outdoor venue Happy Valley at Washpit Farm in Grimston.  

The community-based event is offering "gorgeous scenery, friendly faces, and delicious feasting" on May 11 to mark the rise of spring into summer, while supporting small local businesses and upcoming musicians.

Various stalls hosted by makers and crafters from across Norfolk will be offering local produce and handmade products, including baked goods, vintage clothing and jewellery. 

Katy Coe, lead event organiser at Tribe Norfolk, said: "It's lovely to celebrate good weather, get everyone together outdoors, supporting local.

"You'll feel like a local no matter how far you've come.” 

Visitors can dance along to DJ Jess Kidd who will be running a playlist of "classic old school beats” and enjoy a variety of refreshments from food and drink vendors.  

Entry to the festival is £3 per family, charged at the door, and free parking is available.
