A plasterer from Norwich died following a crash on the A140 the day after his birthday, a court has heard.

An inquest into the death of Timothy Littleboy was opened at Norfolk Coroner’s Court on April 10.

It heard how the 52-year-old of Lord Nelson Drive, Costessey, had been riding his Honda motorbike when he was involved in a crash with a Vauxhall Astra.

It happened at about 3.10pm on the A140 Cromer Road between Horsham St Faith and Newton St Faith on March 31.

Police were called to the crash and closed the road while an investigation was carried out.

Mr Littleboy died at the scene.

Area coroner Yvonne Blake recorded the primary medical cause of death as “multiple traumatic injuries due to, or as a result of, a road traffic collision.”

A full inquest to determine the official cause of death will take place at the court later in the year.
