A road near Aylsham will be closed later this month to allow bridge repair work to take place.

Oxnead Great Bridge in Oxnead Lane in Brampton will close from April 15 to April 19 for work to replace the bridge's fencing.

The Norfolk County Council project, which will cost £6,400, will close the lane to traffic, with pedestrians and cyclists still allowed to pass through.

A diversion route for vehicles will be via Marsham Road, Buxton Road, the A140 and Burgh Road, before returning to Oxnead Lane.

The work is being carried out by the council’s Community and Environmental Services Department and its contractors Tarmac.
