A major Norfolk road is set to see a month of disruption as a series of closures and works take place.

From April 15, roadworks are to begin on the A1064 Norwich Road in Filby, between Fleggburgh and Caister.

The disruption will be in place from the Tower Road junction until the A149 roundabout.

The roadworks will be completed in three parts, as road studs are replaced and the road is resurfaced - with works expected to last until May 17.

An official 15-mile diversion route will be introduced following the A1064 to Acle before turning onto the A47 into Great Yarmouth and joining the A149 back to Filby.

The works mean there will be several overnight closures that will run alongside the three phases.
