Sewage works and new electric vehicle charging points are among the public notices that people in Norfolk need to be aware of this week.

1. Road closure for school sewage works

Blofield Primary School will be connected to the existing foul sewage network in a Norfolk County Council five-day scheme starting on April 2.

The school was built in a £12m project to accommodate the children moving on to new housing developments in the area.

Plantation Road in Blofield will close for the duration of the works.

A signed diversion route with access to Blofield Doctor's Surgery will be in place to redirect users around the works.

Access to properties will be maintained and pedestrian access through the work will also be available.

2. New on-street electric vehicle charging points built in Norwich

Norfolk County Council will be installing new on-street public charge points for electric vehicles around Norwich from April 8.

Sixty-six new charge points will be added to 33 streets across the city and several parking bays will be suspended during the works.

The new charging facilities will be free for anyone to use and are particularly intended for people without the space or facilities to charge their vehicles at home.

3. Traffic restrictions on several roads for Great Yarmouth Easter Fair

From Wednesday, April 3, to Sunday, April 7, traffic will be restricted on several roads in Great Yarmouth to accommodate the town's Easter Fair.

Traffic will be monitored on:

The Conge, from its junction with Church Plain, heading east for 80m.

Market Place, from its junction with The Conge, heading north for 120m.

Church Plain, from a point 50m north of its junction with B1141 Priory Palin heading west for 57m.

4. East Anglian Derby

Norwich City is set to play Ipswich Town at Carrow Road on April 6.

Norfolk Constabulary has asked supporters to arrive early to ease congestion ahead of the 12.30pm kick-off.

Officers will be out in Norwich directing Ipswich fans on the day and have warned it may be necessary for them to close some roads depending on crowd numbers.

5. Bus fare cap in and around Great Yarmouth

From March 31, Norfolk County Council will introduce a £1.50 cap on bus fares in and around Great Yarmouth.

The scheme is being funded by the Department for Transport as part of a scheme to improve rural bus services.

The zone covers all of Caister, Great Yarmouth, Gorleston, Bradwell, Belton and Burgh Castle and all three operators that serve the town - First, Sanders and BorderBus - have signed up to the scheme.
