A seven-bed house of multiple occupation (HMO) has been given the go-ahead near a busy college.

JBL Property Group has been given planning permission to convert No 57 Tennyson Avenue, near the College of West Anglia's main campus in King's Lynn.

A planning report said the property was licensed last month for up to seven "households" in seven rooms, totalling up to 10 people.

It added: "There are no external changes proposed as part of this development so the terraced townhouse will not be impacted externally and there will be no impact on the street scene or visual amenity of the wider area.

"It is not considered that there would be any adverse or unacceptable impact on the amenity of neighbouring dwellings."

No objections were received by the council. Permission was granted on condition the development takes place within three years.
