Easter event returns to popular Southwold farm attraction

Southwold Maize Maze will be running an Easter Bunny Hunt event from Friday March 29 to April 14 to coincide with the school holidays. It will also be reopening its playpark after the winter break.

The Easter Bunny Hunt event features seven bunny character boards hidden discreetly around the play park.

Participants are given a sticker card, and must find all the bunnies to receive an Easter treat.

The play park - open from 9.30am to 4.30pm with last entries at 2.30pm - includes three jumping pillows, double zip line, ride on tractors, nest swing, climbing towers and slides, downpour derby water play, and two giant sand pits.

On Good Friday, Easter Saturday and Easter Sunday, Wendy Rabbit will be joining the bunny hunt.

Owner Bella Hall - who launched the much-extended leisure attraction in 2005 - said she was delighted to welcome visitors back to the park after the winter break.

“We’ve spent the last few months preparing for the year ahead, starting with our Easter event,” she said.

“The maize maze design for this summer is also in progress, but remains a secret for now.

"It will be planted in May, as it grows quite quickly, but that means the maize maze and go kart track will not be open until July.”

Old Hall Southwold Café and Walks - which overlooks the River Blyth - will be open throughout the Easter break.

On Good Friday and Easter Saturday, Suffolk Heritage Events will be holding an Antique and Vintage Fair in the barn next to the play park.

It will feature 50 specialist traders and dealers offering a range of items.

Old Hall Southwold Café and Walks, which shares the site overlooking the River Blyth, will also be open for the duration of the Easter holidays.

Tickets for the Easter event are available online (£2 for adults, £7 for children), where there is an advantage over gate prices (£3 for adults, £8 for children).
