A new music festival is coming to a city park this summer.
Wild Fields festival will take place in Earlham Park on August 16 and August 17, with the lineup set to be revealed next week.
Originally due to be at the Raynham Estate near Fakenham, the decision to move to the city was brought on by production costs and wanting to bring the event closer to the audience base created through the team's other music offering, Wild Paths.
Described as a "socially conscious" festival, it will have a sustainable outlook and hopes to challenge and engage people on topics such as climate change, international conflicts and diversity in the music industry.
Climate Live is the event's official charity partner and its bus will be at the festival educating young people on the climate crisis.
The main stage will feature big national and international acts while the Climate Bus stage will platform some of the best acts from the local region.
Ben Street, festival organiser, said: "Attendees can expect an amazing, diverse and progressive musical lineup featuring Mercury Music Prize winners, panels and discussions to challenge and educate people.
"Food and drinks will be the finest offerings from the region and being 10 minutes from the city, the event is very accessible.
"Being a day event and finishing at 10.30pm gives people the option to go home to their bed if they want, but there will be afterparties too for those who want to revel late into the night too.
"It's just a very inclusive and welcoming event for families and music lovers with some really great progressive music."
