The team behind a popular city takeaway are launching a new venture inside a Norwich food hall.

Thai Issan has been announced as the latest pop-up kitchen at Yalm in the Royal Arcade and it will be there from March 27 2024.

It will serve authentic Asian cuisine and is being brought to the venue by Take Thai, which opened in 2014 along Dereham Road.

Head chef Dee recreates classic regional dishes and draws upon more than 30 years of culinary expertise in Thai restaurants.

Highlights from the menu include starters such as Moo Yang, Gai Satay and their signature spring rolls.

The main dishes on offer include Panang beef and a chilli garlic seafood stir fry, packed full of fresh tiger prawns, squid and mussels.

There will also be vegan and gluten-free options and the chance to book exclusive seats at the Chef's Table.

There are six bookable spots in front of the kitchen and details can be found on the Yalm website.

Andrew Davis, director of Take Thai, said: “This is a great opportunity for us to really showcase our food and give our new and existing loyal customers the opportunity to dine in.

"They have a great reputation for authentic Thai food in the city and have created something very special for Yalm.

"The rotation of new vendors has been great for Yalm so far and we cannot wait to welcome the new team."

It will follow on from a successful Eric's Fish and Chips pop-up at the venue, which started in February and ends on March 24.
