A new centre to support children with complex needs is planned for a Norfolk school.
Norfolk County Council hopes to open a Social, Emotional and Mental Health base (SEMH) at Toftwood Infant and Junior School in Dereham.
The centre would offer 16 places - eight places for children in Key Stage 1 and eight for Key Stage 2 - and could open from September 1 next year.
The base would be managed by headteacher, Joanna Pedlow, and the school's governing body.
The county council held a public consultation between January 8 and February 15, and the plans have now proceeded to the statutory public notice stage, which closes on Monday (March 25).

Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) bases
SEMH bases offer placements for children who have social, emotional and mental health needs.
These needs will have been identified by professionals at school, where they will have already had additional support.
Children may also have difficulties forming relationships, need support to regulate their emotions or support interacting with peers.
They may also have significant difficulties with school routines and expectations, or demonstrate behaviours that negatively impact their and/or others' progress.
