Police are continuing their search today for a missing 45-year-old man from Lowestoft.

Matthew Coxon was reported missing after he failed to return home two days ago.

Matthew was last seen at 6.30pm on Sunday before being reported missing and the search started at 12.40am Monday.

His family and police are increasingly concerned for his welfare as his disappearance is "out of character".

On Monday, a large-scale search involving HM Coastguard crews, RNLI Lifeboats and a search and rescue helicopter searched areas between Lowestoft and Gorleston.

The helicopter was seen searching areas over the coast until 10am on Monday and the teams were assisted by Suffolk Lowland Search and Rescue in areas around Gunton.

Police in Suffolk are continuing enquiries today.

Anyone who may have seen Matthew or has any information regarding his whereabouts is asked to contact the duty sergeant at Lowestoft Police Station on 101.
