A boy racer has been forced to write a letter of apology to a town business after he was caught on CCTV damaging their lawn.

Great Yarmouth Police was able to identify the driver, a man in his 20s, after he ruined the grass at a business in Gorleston by deliberately tyre-spinning.

Officers visited him at his home where he was given a 'Community Resolution' for the criminal damage and a ticket for antisocial driving.

He was told to attend a driving course and write a letter of apology, as well as "be on his absolute best behaviour" for the next 16 weeks.

The warning also means that if he or his vehicle is found to be involved in any other antisocial behaviour over the next year, the car will be seized immediately.
