A man had been warned he faces being sent to prison for attacking police officers including throwing urine in the face of one.

Randy Martin, 45, had been arrested for possession of an offensive weapon when he attacked officers while in custody.

Norwich Magistrates’ Court was told he attempted to bite one, tried to urinate on another before throwing a cup of his pee over a female officer.

He had earlier been arrested on Turbine Way in Swaffham after being seen punching the window of a bus using a knuckle duster.

The court was told he had two previous convictions for weapons.

Martin, of Ordnance Road in Great Yarmouth, pleaded guilty to possession of a weapon and three counts of assaulting an emergency worker.

Michael Cole, mitigating, said he had become “wound up” following his arrest and had “effectively been out of it” at the time.

Ordering a pre-sentence report, magistrates said all options were open, including prison, for the “seriously unpleasant offences”.

He was given conditional bail including a night time curfew until he is sentenced on June 6.
