A new deli serving food made by some of the world's best chefs is opening in a city wine shop.

Fredricks, which was launched by Michelin-starred chef Freddie Jones, has opened in the Harper Wells wine shop in Ber Street.

The deli originally opened in Diss in 2006 before being taken on by Harper Wines and expanding to Norwich.

It aims to offer a "one-stop shop for the best ingredients", with products sourced from around the world.

Sam Howard from Fredericks said: "We want to be able to highlight the story behind each product.

"Each item that we sell has a person and producer at the back of it that we want to show off."

The Ber Street shop has been reorganised to include both Fredericks and Harper Wines with the food and wine aiming to "compliment each other perfectly".

The store is also set to hold a range of events in the coming weeks and months with a full schedule soon to be released.
