A major road junction and bridge into Norwich is set to close for repairs.

The A146 Loddon Road, A146 Barrett Road and Martineau Lane will close for maintenance works starting today until March 15.

Norfolk County Council will carry out the road resurfacing and bridge repair works at the Martineau Lane and A146 Trowse bypass junction.

To reduce disruption, it will be carried out overnight with the roads closing between 8pm and 6am Monday to Friday.

The road will be open as usual at all other times.

On the A146 Barrett Road and Martineau Lane roads, closures will be between the junction with Long John Hill to the County Hall roundabout.

The A146 Loddon Road will also be closed between the junction of Martineau Lane to just west of the A47 junction.

Access to businesses and homes will remain, with the possibility of minor delays while the surfacing works take place outside properties.

Fully signed diversion routes will be in place.

The work, carried out by Norfolk County Council’s Community and Environmental Services Department and its contractors, will cost £300,000.
