A north Norfolk heritage railway line has announced new additional services to its popular dining trains this year.

The Poppy Line from North Norfolk Railway has opened bookings for this year’s dining programme which sees many old favourites return. 

The five and a half mile heritage line, which runs along the Sheringham coastline before turning inland through the countryside between Weybourne and Holt, has also added new services to its line-up.

Those looking for a traditional favourite can enjoy fish and chip suppers aboard the North Norfolk Fryer, or cream tea aboard one of the line’s historic steam trains.

New to the Poppy Line in 2024 is the introduction of comedy dining nights and sausage and mash trains.

Meanwhile, the much-loved lunchtime dining trains will run throughout the year, with additional services on Mother’s Day and Father’s Day, and murder mystery whodunnits.

Assistant Commercial Manager Hannah Drury commented: “Our dining trains are very popular and we’re really looking forward to our 2024 season, especially with the addition of two new services and an increase in cream tea trains too."
