Seven cafes and restaurants in Norfolk have been named among the top 100 places in the UK for brunch and Sunday lunch.

It was decided based on more than 1.2 million reviews submitted this year on OpenTable, an online reservation service that allows easy booking at eateries across the country.

Norwich has proved itself to be a particular hotspot, with three of the seven located in the city.

Middletons Steakhouse & Grill in Timberhill, which offers bottomless brunch with a range of mains, made the list alongside Rooftop Gardens in Rose Lane as well as The Assembly House in Theatre Street.

Heading towards the Broads, The Lodge at Salhouse was commended for its brunch classics such as a full English, eggs benedict, and freshly baked baguettes.

North Norfolk also has plenty to offer with The Ship Inn in Weybourne and The Pigs in Edgefield making the list.

The FFolkes in Hillington, which serves an unlimited 'brunch feast' with all-you-can-eat brunch classics, was also praised by OpenTable.
