Actors will bring Terry Pratchett's 'Wyrd Sisters' to life at the Little Theatre.

The Little Theatre Players' upcoming production features a 22-strong cast of amateur actors from the area, set to stage the tale from March 28-30.

The show centres on three 'wildly differing witches' Granny Weatherwax, Nanny Ogg, and Magrat Garlick, as they grapple with witchcraft, murder, and romance.

In the tale, the trio are given Tomjon, the son of a murdered king, before passing him on to a troupe of travelling actors.

The witches use their powers to move the world on 15 years, giving Tomjon a chance to reclaim his title and kingdom.

Director Hazel Martin said: “It is such a fun show which is driven by terrific characters some of which I have exaggerated and added my own quirks – including some robbers who are not as you imagine them.

“There is a lot going on, and some cast members are playing three or four roles, as well as acting as crew to moving minimalist scenery and props around - so it is challenging but the rehearsals are going well.”

The production incorporates smoke, echoes, rain, thunder, and lightning through lighting, sound, and back projection.
