Gary Barlow has teased a huge change he wants to make to Take That's latest tour which is coming to Norwich.

Barlow is joining Howard Donald and Mark Owen at Carrow Road on May 28 following sell-out concerts in the city in 2017 and 2019.

This Life on Tour features special guest Olly Murs and celebrates the release of their ninth album.

The Take That frontman has said he was inspired by U2's "spectacular" gig at the cutting-edge Sphere venue in Las Vegas and now wants to incorporate similar big-screen graphics in the new tour.

The Sphere opened in September with two U2 concerts for 20,000 fans and is the biggest spherical structure in the world, standing at 516 feet wide and 366 feet tall.

Its exterior is covered in more than a million LED lights and there is a 16k-resolution curved screen inside, creating an immersive experience no matter what angle it is viewed from.

In an interview with The Sun, the 53-year-old said: “I went there expecting this spectacular thing and everyone’s said, ‘Oh, it overpowers the band’.

"The one thing I came away from the gig with is that U2 are amazing. When the screen came on 18,000 people breathed in.

"I think experiences like the Sphere or headsets and VR are going to move music on.
