A stolen golf buggy has crashed through beach barriers after being driven down a cliff.

The buggy was taken down the cliff at Marine Parade in Gorleston before crashing through a metal fence and ending up on the beach.

The damaged golf buggy was then abandoned and items of clothing and golf balls were left scattered across the sand.

Police said they received a report of theft and criminal damage at 7.11am on Wednesday.

The incident happened between 6am on Tuesday and 7am on Wednesday.

A spokeswoman for Norfolk Constabulary said an investigation is ongoing.
