Vandals have caused severe damage to park tables owned by a charity-run cafe.
Volunteers and staff arrived this morning to find the picnic tables outside The Feed's Waterloo Park Pavilion Cafe, off Angel Road in NR3.
Chris Elliot, marketing manager for The Feed, received a message from one of his colleagues earlier today about the incident.
He said: "Honestly it's bitterly disappointing.
"It's going to cost a lot of money for us to either replace, or fix, the tables.
"It also means there are now fewer seats for people to use - especially during the school holidays this week - and is depriving customers from sitting outside when it's nice.
"The money generated through the cafe helps fund projects in the community, so with this happening, it's only going to affect the wider financial position of The Feed itself.
"We will report this to the police shortly but if anyone does know anything about what happened, or who might be responsible, to contact the police will greatly help."

The Feed, set up in 2014 with a cafe in Prince of Wales Road, supports unemployed people for reasons such as homelessness, ill health, addiction or offence history.
This isn't the first time The Feed has been on the wrong end of vandalism.
Back in April 2022 vandals destroyed hundreds of pounds worth of summer furniture and threw the remains into flower beds, less than six months after the cafe first opened.

The charity has venues all around the city, with cafes and bistros at Churchman House in Bethel Street, Prince of Wales Road and a student-only cafe inside Norwich University of the Arts.
A spokesman for Norwich City Council, which is responsible for Waterloo Park, said: "It is incredibly disappointing to see this kind of senseless vandalism – especially when so many people enjoy this popular park and visiting The Feed’s cafe.
"If anyone has information about this, we urge them to contact the police."
