Finishing touches are being added to a new local branch of a national supermarket chain in Bradwell.

Plans were approved for a 4,000 sq ft Sainsbury's Local store on the Persimmon Bluebell Meadow estate in May 2022. The new store is reported to create up to 25 jobs.

The units will share 42 parking spaces, including six bays for electric vehicle charging.

Three other businesses - including a Subway - will neighbour the supermarket branch. In charge of the retail units, Midpoint Developments said the shops - "anchored by Sainsbury's and Subway" have already been pre-let.

We do need a take away but one that provides evening family meals with variety."

The new units follow the ongoing development of the housing estate, which will see the construction of 850 homes.
