Fire engines were called to a city road after an electric scooter burst into flames on the pavement.
Crews from Carrow and Sprowston were called at 4.56pm to Thorpe Road, near to the Fat Cat and Canary pub, after receiving reports of an electric vehicle fire.
It was extinguished shortly afterwards and crews were stood down around 5.07pm.
A spokesman has confirmed it was not one of the city's for-hire Beryl e-scooters.
