Disruption has continued on Norfolk's trains after a derailment last week left the line blocked.

Greater Anglia has warned passengers of more issues on trains between Ely and Thetford after issues with the line following last week's incident.

A Greater Anglia spokeswoman said: "Part of the line is currently closed while East Midlands Railway recover the train that was involved in the derailment.

"The line should reopen later this afternoon, but we do not have an exact time. Rail replacement buses are running in the meantime so customers can still complete their journey."

A separate fault has also caused delays out of Norwich after signalling problems caused trains to be unable to run from the station, onto, or off the main line.

This follows a derailment on an East Midlands Railway train between Thetford and Harling Road on Tuesday after hitting a tree at 90mph.

Inspections were carried out on the train for most of Wednesday after its front window and wheels were severely damaged, blocking the line between Norwich and Ely.

Trains were running again as normal on Thursday morning, however further disruption came over the weekend after a signalling fault on Friday evening followed by a broken-down freight train.
