An authentic American deli in the Norwich Lanes has announced that this weekend will be its last in business.

The family-run Chef Ron's Kitchen, in Lower Goat Lane, shared the news on social media yesterday (February 9).

Chef Ron Uhrig established the restaurant in 2016 and ran it with the help of his wife Joanne, children Roman, Zoe and Christian and best friend Andy Monroe.

Mr Uhrig is originally from Baltimore in Maryland and had worked in restaurants, hotels and bakeries around the world before moving to Norwich in 2001.

"We've made many good friends and memories while running Chef Ron's Kitchen as a family making food for the city of Norwich.

"We will be forever grateful for this time."

It added that the family's next chapter will take them to the USA and said some "exciting news" about the future of the premises would come later this year.

Chef Ron's will be open today (February 10) and tomorrow (February 11) from 10am to 5pm.
