A woman living alone on the outskirts of the city is feeling lonely after having to spend nearly two weeks without her television due to a broken communal aerial.
Frances Taplin has lived in Tower Close, Costessey, for 16 years and has spent the last 10 days unable to enjoy the TV shows she enjoys.
The 66-year-old said: "It happened at the end of January and it's still not fixed.
"I know it might be trivial for some people but I live by myself so it’s nice to have a bit of company where I can enjoy my shows - it's lonely at the moment.

"Everyone has access to a telly now and people don’t realise how much you use it until you don’t have access to it.
"I've been calling Saffron Housing and South Norfolk Council to help almost every day but I've given up now.
"I’ve tried to be as polite as possible but if no one is going to help I'm not sure what else I'm meant to do."
Saffron Housing apologised for the delay in resolving the issue.
Saffron’s responsive maintenance manager, Colin Arterton, said: "We are sorry for the length of time it has taken for the communal television aerial at Tower Close to be fixed.

"We appreciate that it's frustrating to have been without a communal television aerial for the past 10 days and we apologise for the inconvenience this has caused.
"Our repairs are always prioritised, taking into account safety, security and tenant experience and this type of repair has to be completed by a specialist contractor.
"Since receiving the initial concern from Mrs Taplin on January 31, we've been in regular contact with our dedicated contractor who's informed us that they will be in touch with Mrs Taplin as soon as they have a confirmed date to fix the aerial.
"We apologise for any inconvenience this has caused."
