Two powerhouses of the arts in Norwich have teamed up to curate a world-class programme of performances in the city.
The 2024 Norfolk and Norwich Festival runs from May 10 to 26 with events across the city and beyond.
The festival has collaborated with Norwich Theatre on the dance and physical theatre strand.
Fenland Elegy (May 18 and 19) is a short and stirring film following the immensely technical and expressive form of Krump dance and it was shot at sunset in the Fens of East Anglia. The free screening takes place at The Forum.

Thomas Hardy’s classic Tess of the D’Urbervilles is adapted for the stage in Tess by Ockham’s Razor (May 21-22) at Norwich Theatre Royal. A thrilling, emotional blend of circus and physical theatre.
Greek dance artist and director Xenia Aidonopoulou brings a show for younger audiences to The Garage. Skydiver (May 22-23) is a multi-sensory dance experience.
Mosh (May 23-25) was created by Irish dance artist Rachel Ní Bhraonáin and will make its UK premiere at the festival. Mixing live music, real interviews, dance and text, the cast of performers will delve into the culture and characters of the mosh pit.
An Accident / a Life (May 24-25) at Norwich Theatre Royal is a special new collaboration between choreographer Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui and dancer Marc Brew that explores life-changing moments in their lives.

Norwich Theatre has been growing the appetite for dance and movement-based shows in the city with Norwich Moves - a permanent season exploring storytelling where words are not the focus.
Stephen Crocker, chief executive and creative director at Norwich Theatre, said: ”It has been remarkable to see such extraordinary appetite for new and different approaches to storytelling through movement from our audiences."
