British Baker was impressed by its "delightful line-up of products" singling out its sourdough loaf, rye bread and croissants.

The bakery has jumped up the rankings from fourth place last year.

Bread Source is no stranger to accolades with bakery manager Daniel Girling a finalist for Baker of the Year and Jordan Skeet winning the Rising Star Award at the 2023 Baking Industry Awards.

The bakery was started more than 15 years ago by Steve Winter at a small bakery in Horsham St Faith selling sourdough loaves at weekly markets in Fakenham, Dereham and Reepham before moving into the first shop in Aylsham in 2011.
