Suppliers to the UK energy industry will have a chance to learn about upcoming projects at Share Fair 2024, organised by Offshore Energies UK (OEUK).

With support from the North Sea Transition Authority (NSTA), Share Fair 2024 is to take place at P&J Live in Aberdeen on Wednesday, March 20.

The event is an opportunity for the UK energy supply chain to find out about the contracts that operators and large contractors have on offer over the next two years or so.

This includes activity ranging from oil and gas to offshore wind, hydrogen and carbon capture and storage.

Companies signed up to present or offer one-to-one appointments at Share Fair 2024 include bp, Ceraphi Geothermal Energy, CNR, Equinor, Ithaca Energy, Orsted, Petrogas, Spirit Energy and Subsea7, with more expected to confirm in due course.

In late February, when OEUK opens bookings for one-to-one appointments, suppliers will be able to secure business meetings with key decision-makers in client contract purchasing teams.

“We have a world-class energy supply chain, but it faces serious constraints including unsustainable margins with limited profitability," said Katy Heidenreich, OEUK’s supply chain and people director.

"Share Fair addresses this challenge by providing suppliers with early sight of confirmed energy projects so they can secure investment, increase capacity and recruit the skilled people they need to capitalise on the UK pipeline of work in oil and gas plus energy transition opportunities."

Bill Cattanach, head of supply chain at NSTA, said: “I am encouraged that Share Fair 2024 has already attracted a such an impressive line-up of operators and contractors.

"It speaks volumes for the importance of this event as a platform for promoting lucrative, near-term tendering opportunities for a range of projects which can aid energy security and accelerate the energy transition.

"The NSTA and OEUK will be working hard to secure even more big-name participants in the coming weeks.”
