A pub that recently closed is undergoing a major renovation as its owners search for a new landlord.

The Robert Kett in Wymondham is owned by the Greene King pub group and recently went back on the market after landlord Karl Burrows departed.

It is being renovated as one of Greene King's Hive pubs which offers a "low-risk opportunity" for potential landlords.

As part of the renovation, the interior will be fully refurbished, offering a single bar, a sports area with pool and darts and a separate dining area.

The garden will be covered with a new pergola, lighting and additional signage.

Greene King claims this will "create a pub the whole community can enjoy" while focussing on sports and TV entertainment.

There will also be live acts and events once open and pub classics back on the menu.

A spokesman for Greene King said: "It's early days at the moment, but we're on the lookout for a franchise operator to run the Robert Kett in partnership with us.

"Anyone with pub management experience keen to take the step up and run their own business with the full support of Greene King should get in touch."
