A seaside pub is under new management.

The Lobster, in Sheringham High Street, is now being run by the general manager of a pub in the same town.

Oliver McErlain, general manager of The Crown, in Lifeboat Plain, is the new manager of the pub - taking over from Graham Deans, who ran it for 22 years.

Mr McErlain said in statement on The Crown Facebook page: “We, the team at The Crown, will be running both The Crown and The Lobster.

“We are part of this beautiful town and our commitment to it is investing significantly not only in The Lobster but in the people whom work within both businesses.

“We read all the comments relating to The Crown and The Lobster and, whilst we know we’ll not be to everyone’s taste, please don’t forget we put a lot of effort into these businesses regardless of whom you think the giant corporation is.

"I’m responsible for both of these pubs and I am more than happy to speak to anyone directly.

"We are all working extremely hard to get ready to re-open the Lobsters doors in the coming weeks.

"More details and sneak peeks coming soon."
