The market square in a Norfolk town will be closed for two weeks as an annual funfair gets under way.

Tuesday Market Place in King's Lynn will host The Mart from February 12 where rides, games and activities will be enjoyed by thousands.

While The Mart takes place, Tuesday Market Place and Ferry Street will be closed to general traffic until midnight on February 25.

The fair has been pitching up in the town centre for more than 800 years and was granted a Royal Charter by King Henry VIII in 1537.

Last year there were rides including dodgems and waltzers, with a Children's Day where all attractions were £1.50.
