A new festival is launching in Norwich this year and it will be a celebration of local food, drinks and music.

Friends George Colley and Natty Crothers opened The Weavers Arms in Muspole Street last summer, with the building dating back to the 18th century.

In 2024, they are hosting LoomFest at the pub and it will take place from Friday, August 2 until Sunday, August 4 with free entry.

The pair also own Yard pasta and cocktail bar in Pottergate and Mr Colley is one of the owners of Brick Pizza next to Norwich Market.

The event will combine their businesses and feature a pizza van and pasta stand, with The Weavers Arms doing a barbecue too.

There will also be live bands, DJs and tap takeovers with a beer tent hosting local breweries.

Mr Colley said: "We have always wanted to do a festival but have never had as much outside space as we do at the pub.

"It will have a more family-friendly feel during the day and then be a bit more lively in the evening."
