A lifesaving Norfolk charity responded to 1,600 emergency calls last year.
Norfolk Accident Rescue Service (NARS) is an emergency medical charity which has been saving lives in Norfolk on behalf of the East of England Ambulance Service for 54 years.
Its volunteer doctors, paramedics, nurses and first responders were tasked with 1,600 emergency calls over the course of 2023 - responding to an average of more than four calls a day.
Chris Neil, NARS chairman, said: "Reaching 1,600 emergency calls in 2023 is a significant achievement that reflects our unwavering commitment to the communities we serve.
"We extend our heartfelt thanks to our skilled responders, support staff and volunteers, and community partners for their tireless contributions."

Based in Dereham, NARS was established in 1970 and receives no government funding - relying on donations alone to continue operating.
A NARS spokesperson added: "This milestone is a testament to the professionalism, efficiency, and unwavering dedication of our emergency response personnel.
"Through rigorous training and cutting-edge technology, we strive to provide prompt and reliable assistance to those in need day and night."
