Sip local gins on a steam train and enjoy countryside views as a popular event is returning to Norfolk in 2024. 

The Gin Train will run on the North Norfolk Railway on select Fridays and Saturdays between April 13 and September 14.

Passengers will step onboard a historic steam train at Sheringham Station, with a long gin drink served on arrival.

It will depart at 6.30pm, with boarding from 6pm, and go on two return journeys from Sheringham to Holt and back.

A mezze board of cold meats and cheeses will be provided to accompany the drinks.

Guests will be served three contrasting gins, each with a mixer, and there will also be the chance to try a boozy homemade cheesecake.

A gin liqueur or gin served neat over ice will round off the evening in style, with the train arriving back at Sheringham Station at around 9.15pm. 

On many trips, a producer from one of the local distilleries will be onboard.
