The Post Office has been accused of "not caring about customers" after the closure of a city centre branch.
The company closed its branch in the One Stop in Prince of Wales Road on January 4 after the shop was sold.
This has left folk in Thorpe Hamlet having to travel into the city to reach the nearest postal services in Magdalen Street or St Stephens Street.
"It is an incredible blow for the community," said Green councillor Josh Worley, who represents Thorpe Hamlet at City Hall.

"It doesn't seem like the Post Office has a plan and it feels very bleak. People have to now get the bus or walk into the city to access a postal service.
"There is a Royal Mail sorting office in Thorpe Road, but you can't buy stamps there anymore.
"We have suggested moving a post office there to operate alongside the sorting centre.
"But the Royal Mail have told us no, and sadly that is the state of our privatised postal service.
"They don't care about customers."
There has been a sharp decline in the number of post offices in recent years.

Citizens Advice published a paper in January 2022 which revealed that 206 post offices had closed in the last two years, the equivalent of two each week.
Norwich has recently seen the closure of Lakenham's post office - a case which prompted involvement from local MP Clive Lewis.
A survey conducted by Mr Lewis found 93pc of locals still wanted the service in their area, and 30pc claimed the closure would negatively impact elderly and disabled communities.
Speaking on the closure, a Post Office spokeswoman said: “The shop where Prince of Wales Road Post Office has been based, has been sold. The vacancy will be advertised on our website.
"We would welcome any applications from potential retail partners interested in running a branch locally on our behalf.
“We apologise for any inconvenience caused by the closure of this branch at this location."
